It’s hard to believe that one year has passed since we lost our dear friend Ina. Perhaps time feels even more suspended with the still ever-present Covid virus looming about. However, I’d like to think we will associate her life with her effervescence, wit, intelligence and her love of learning.
Whether music, art, dancing, literature, the sciences, the cosmos, religion, spirituality, and all aspects of woman-hood, Ina sought to absorb everything in her path and advocated that all of us should seek to expand our horizons each day of our lives. I hope to follow in her path as much as possible, and hope all of you will apply a little bit of her “joie de vivre” to yours as well.
The next time you hear some salsa music, think of her dancing and let it put a smile on your face!
